Take the Mt. Neverest Challenge!
Accompanied by a team of Sherpas (and always on the look-out for the mysterious mountain creature known as Bigfoot!) Sir Hillary finally made it to the top of Mount Everest in 1953.

Now, it’s your turn to head up the expedition! Get everyone in your school or worksite involved – the more teams, the more fun! Each team has five working days to accumulate as many minutes of physical activity as it can, within normal working hours.

Don’t have stairs at your worksite? No problem! Any type of physical activity counts towards the final score. The winning team claims the summit….and victory!

The Mount Neverest Challenge is a great way to encourage active living, build team spirit and promote workplace wellness. The Peel board has everything you need to put this program into action – from memos and posters to score sheets and evaluation forms. Contact info@takeonestep.org for more information.

Start a healthy habit with the Everyday Challenge

The Everyday Challenge works like this:

Each week, the challenge leader sets one healthy goal for all participants. For example, on week 1, you could be challenged to drink eight glasses of water a day. On week 2, you might be asked to exercise 10 minutes every day.
Each week’s goal is added to the previous week’s goal. By the end of the eight weeks, you’ll have added eight healthy activities to your daily routine.
Compare notes with your colleagues. Encourage each other to stay committed. Plot your progress on a wall chart. Learning to make healthy choices is easy when you make them as a team!
