Do you know the warning signs of a heart attack or stroke?

Heart attack:
pain that doesn't go away with rest
opain may be in the chest, neck, jaw, shoulder or arm
opain may be a feeling of burning, heaviness, tightness squeezing or pressure
shortness of breath - difficulty breathing
nausea, vomiting or indigestion
sweating - cool, clammy skin
paleness
fear, anxiety, denial
general weakness

In women, the symptoms of a heart attack are more difficult to identify:

Women may get vague chest discomfort, instead of severe chest pain.
Women often report pain in the upper back, neck, jaw or shoulder.
Heartburn, profound fatigue and shortness of breath are other common signs of heart disease in women.

Stroke:
weakness - sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm or leg
trouble speaking - sudden, temporary loss of speech or ability to understand speech
vision problems - sudden loss of vision or double vision
headache - sudden severe or unusual headache
dizziness - sudden loss of balance

If you have any of these symptoms, tell someone immediately and call 911. Quick action saves lives!
